SAMG Entertainment Launches “King’s MyPing” Collectible to Celebrate 10 Million Admissions for “The King’s Warden”

  • – Hong-wi Ping and Heung-do Ping figure set opens for pre-orders March 12, with shipping scheduled for late May

Global IP content company SAMG Entertainment (CEO Suhoon Kim) has unveiled a special-edition collectible titled King’s MyPing, inspired by characters from the hit Korean film The King’s Warden. The launch celebrates the film surpassing 10 million admissions, making it the first Korean movie of 2026 to reach the milestone.

The collectible is part of MyPing, a premium line under SAMG Entertainment’s integrated character IP brand THE TEENIEPING. Introduced alongside the opening of the company’s flagship store in Seoul’s Seongsu district in late 2025, the MyPing series reimagines characters through collectible designs that allow fans to engage with the IP in new ways.

The figures first drew attention during the film’s premiere in January, when lead actors Yoo Hae-jin, Park Ji-hoon, Yoo Ji-tae and Jeon Mi-do appeared on stage with King’s MyPing figures representing their respective characters. The appearance quickly sparked discussion across social media and online communities, with fans calling for the collectibles to be officially released.

The new edition includes two figures: Hong-wi Ping, based on the character Lee Hong-wi (Lord Nosan), and Heung-do Ping, inspired by the village chief Eom Heung-do. Hong-wi Ping features a yellow-beige body with suede bunny-style hair, paired with a blue royal robe motif and traditional headgear. Heung-do Ping is built on the HachuPing body and incorporates details such as a traditional hat and a pink mustache that reflect the character’s distinctive look.

Pre-orders will run exclusively through the official THE TEENIEPING online store from March 12 to March 22, with shipments scheduled to begin in late May. Customers who purchase the set will also receive a randomly distributed exclusive King’s MyPing poster created for the release.

“Following the film’s strong box-office success, which has now surpassed 12 million admissions, we wanted to respond to the enthusiasm from fans who showed interest in King’s MyPing,” a SAMG Entertainment representative said. “We will continue exploring new opportunities to expand our character IP through collaborations with fan-driven content.”
