SAMG Entertainment reports stronger earnings, cuts debt ratio to 62% in 2025
SAMG Entertainment (KOSDAQ: 419530), a global IP content company led by CEO Suhoon Kim, said it posted improved earnings in 2025, supported by improved cost efficiency and a stronger balance sheet.
The company reported consolidated revenue of KRW 141.2 billion and operating profit of KRW 22.6 billion, up KRW 24.8 billion and KRW 28.7 billion, respectively, from a year earlier.
SAMG Entertainment attributed the growth to improved operational efficiency, including the internalization of its distribution network and tighter production management. Its cost-of-goods-sold ratio declined by more than 10 percentage points, while selling, general and administrative expenses decreased slightly despite ongoing hiring and business expansion.
Its operating margin reached about 24% in the fourth quarter, reflecting the high-margin nature of its IP business.
The company’s financial position also improved. Total liabilities decreased by KRW 14.3 billion over the past year, while total equity increased by KRW 52.6 billion. As a result, its debt-to-equity ratio fell to 62% from 216%, providing greater flexibility for future investments and global expansion.
“Our results reflect a shift toward a structure where profit growth outpaces revenue growth,” a SAMG Entertainment representative said. “With a stronger financial foundation, we plan to expand our global IP business and strengthen our talent and management systems.”
As part of its shareholder return efforts, SAMG Entertainment said it cancelled KRW 9 billion worth of call options, effectively removing potential share dilution risk. The company added that it is reviewing additional capital allocation strategies to enhance shareholder value over time.
Looking ahead, SAMG Entertainment expects further growth in 2026 through expanded global partnerships and new content releases. The company is currently preparing multiple collaborations following projects with companies including Hyundai Motor Company and KIA Tigers.
A theatrical release of Teenieping: Legend of the Whale Heartstone is scheduled for the third quarter, which the company expects to support its global expansion.
“We aim to build on our current momentum and further strengthen our position in the global content market,” said Suhoon Kim.
