SAMG Entertainment Targets Kidult Collectors With “Miniforce Legacy Edition”
- – Tyranno Thunder returns in high-end collectible version
- – Nostalgic adults join the fanbase, bridging content and merchandise
Global IP content company SAMG Entertainment (CEO Suhoon Kim) is expanding into the growing kidult market with its new “Legacy Edition” lineup. The first release, the Tyranno Thunder Legacy Edition, revives the iconic mech from Miniforce Season 3: Super Dino Power with upgraded features and premium finishes aimed at adult collectors.
The collectible transforms between dinosaur, vehicle, and robot forms. It adds new accessories, including the close-combat Thunder Blade and defensive Tyranno Shield, while refining articulation and design. Enhanced joint mobility allows for advanced poses, such as dual-wielding the Thunder Blade, catering to hobbyists who value poseability and display options.
Earlier this month, SAMG Entertainment teased development prototypes on social media platform X, generating notable attention from online fans. The previews highlighted detailed engineering and premium finishes, drawing comments like, “This exceeds typical children’s toys and appeals directly to adult collectors.”
The kidult segment—nostalgic adults revisiting childhood favorites—has emerged as a key revenue driver in the toy industry. Affluent 30- and 40-somethings are fueling demand for robot figures and mechs they can enjoy alongside their children. SAMG Entertainment’s Miniforce Season 7: Dinoid series has already cultivated a loyal adult fanbase, praised for its sculpting quality and polish.
“This isn’t just another toy release,” a SAMG Entertainment spokesperson said. “It reflects the voices of the kidult fandom we’ve built on YouTube and fan communities. We plan to release Legacy Editions for more core Miniforce mechs, reinforcing our high-value IP business that bridges content and merchandise.”
The Tyranno Thunder Legacy Edition will be available from April through SAMG Entertainment’s online store, THE TEENIEPING, as well as major domestic online and offline retailers.
