The third season of the Catch! Teenieping series, titled “Secret Catch! Teenieping,” which has grown into a top-tier global IP beyond its #1 status in Korea, will officially begin airing in Japan on July 5.
SAMG Entertainment Co., Ltd. (CEO Suhoon Kim, hereinafter referred to as “SAMG”) announced that “Secret Catch! Teenieping” will premiere via its Japanese partner Kids Station at 7:30 AM on Saturday, July 5. Following its initial broadcast, the show will expand to major Japanese terrestrial TV networks and OTT platforms, while Season 3 merchandise (MD) will also become available simultaneously online and in retail stores across Japan.
In conjunction with the launch, SAMG and Kids Station have signed new licensing agreements with over 15 Japanese companies, covering more than 100 new products across categories such as cosmetics and apparel. Teenieping-themed claw machines will also be installed in game centers nationwide, extending into the gacha (capsule toy) business model.
To boost awareness and engagement, SAMG is reinforcing local fan experience marketing. From July 1, Kids Station will host a “Secret Catch! Teenieping Dubbing Recording Event,” where 10 children (kindergarten to elementary school age) will be invited to a professional dubbing studio to record their voices and even appear in an actual episode of the series.
Additional localized efforts include costumed character performances at theme parks, pop-up stores, and offline events at restaurant chains, tailoring the promotion to Japan’s cultural landscape and anime character subculture. These strategies aim to deeply root the Korean IP within the Japanese market.
A representative from SAMG Entertainment stated, “Following the broadcast of Season 2 last October, we are launching Season 3 to continue building recognition in Japan.” They added, “This season, we’re diversifying local licensing partners, increasing consumer touchpoints, and aligning with hands-on, experience-based consumption trends through influencer collaborations and pop-ups. With this two-track strategy, we aim to elevate awareness of Teenieping’s animation and character appeal within Japan.”
