Global content IP company SAMG Entertainment Co., Ltd. (CEO Suhoon Kim, hereinafter referred to as “SAMG Entertainment”) has become the first in the animation industry to introduce a Fair Trade Compliance Program (CP) and held a “Fair Trade Compliance Program Declaration Ceremony” on July 1st at its headquarters in Seoul.
Through this declaration ceremony, SAMG Entertainment expressed its strong commitment to spreading a culture of compliance management across the content industry. Key executives and employees, including the CEO, attended the event to share the purpose behind the introduction of the CP and future operational plans, publicly affirming the company’s dedication to fair trade laws and ethical business practices.
In response to the rapidly changing media and content industry environment, the company is enhancing its internal control systems to proactively address legal risks and ensure sustainable growth. This initiative aligns with its philosophy of becoming a company that not only “delivers inspiration through content” but also “values ethics and responsibility.”
CEO Suhoon Kim emphasized, “The introduction of the CP system is more than just an internal regulatory measure; it will serve as a turning point for establishing a healthy culture of compliance across the content industry,” adding that it represents “a meaningful starting point for realizing the company’s social responsibility.”
Going forward, SAMG Entertainment plans to gradually implement various initiatives to enhance the effectiveness of the CP system. These include publishing a compliance manual, regularizing fair trade education for all employees, and operating a self-audit system. In particular, the company also plans to utilize its flagship IPs such as “Catch! Teenieping” to run compliance culture campaigns targeted at children and families, reinforcing its role as a socially responsible content company.
