SAMG Entertainment Brings “Teenieping” to K League Stadiums in Family-Focused Push

SAMG Entertainment (CEO Suhoon Kim), a global IP content company, is bringing its hit IP Catch! Teenieping to football stadiums this spring, teaming up for the first time with South Korea’s K League in a move aimed at attracting family audiences.

The collaboration will roll out at major venues across the country in May, beginning with matches in Ulsan and Jeju on May 2, followed by Yongin on May 3, Gangwon on May 5 and Anyang on May 10.

A key feature of the collaboration is the pairing of characters from Catch! Teenieping Season 6 with individual clubs. Ulsan HD FC will be matched with Graceping, Jeju SK FC with Bonnyping, Yongin FC with Eclipseping, Gangwon FC with Clarieping, and FC Anyang with Heartsping. Each character has been selected to reflect the club’s colors and identity, offering fans a distinct, character-driven experience.

At the stadium, programming will extend beyond the standard 90-minute match. Photo walls, pop-up merchandise stores and other interactive elements are designed to create a more continuous fan journey, from entry to in-game engagement and post-match shopping, positioning the stadium as a broader family entertainment space.

Club-specific activations will highlight each team’s identity. In Ulsan, large advertising balloons and a marching band parade featuring character mascots will help energize the stadium atmosphere. Jeju will offer Catch! Teenieping-themed paper tickets and commemorative giveaways, along with mascot greetings and participatory programs such as a “Teenieping Dice Challenge”.

In Yongin, special Teenieping-themed Children’s Day tickets will be introduced, alongside activities including a character mascot ceremonial kickoff, a children’s drawing contest and a halftime quiz event. Gangwon will expand fan engagement through photo zones and on-site activations featuring character mascots. Anyang will host a ceremonial kickoff with the character Heartsping, along with a halftime quiz event.

Industry observers say the collaboration comes at a time when demand for family-oriented leisure activities peaks in May, which includes Children’s Day. The combination of established content IP and professional sports is expected to support both attendance and on-site spending, while reflecting a broader shift toward stadiums as multi-purpose entertainment venues.

The K League partnership marks a continued expansion of SAMG Entertainment’s IP strategy into sports, following a previous collaboration with baseball club KIA Tigers. The company is now extending that model into football as part of efforts to diversify its IP business.

A SAMG Entertainment representative said the project focuses on enriching the stadium experience through collaboration with K League clubs, adding that the company plans to continue developing on-site content tailored to different fan communities.
