  • – Up-targeting and global expansion accelerate, supported by growing 20s demographics (20.6%) and overseas demand at ‘THE TEENIEPING Seongsu’

Global IP content company SAMG Entertainment (KOSDAQ: 419530, CEO Suhoon Kim) announced on the 10th that it achieved all-time-high consolidated revenue of approximately KRW 141.2 billion and operating profit of KRW 22.6 billion in 2025, according to its regulatory disclosure.

The results signal not merely a recovery, but a fundamental structural transformation of the company’s earnings model. Through a material change disclosure regarding revenue or profit structure fluctuations exceeding 30%, SAMG Entertainment reported a turnaround from an operating loss of KRW 6.1 billion in 2024 to an operating profit of KRW 22.6 billion in 2025—representing a year-on-year improvement of approximately KRW 28.7 billion. This performance underscores the company’s transition into a “healthy enterprise” capable of consistently generating over KRW 20 billion in annual operating profit. Notably, the operating profit margin rebounded from mid-single-digit losses in 2024 to approximately 16% within one year, demonstrating the strong profit leverage of its IP-driven business model.

The company’s flagship IP, the Catch! Teenieping series, surpassed the 30% viewership mark, showcasing robust fandom engagement. Throughout 2025, SAMG Entertainment also expanded IP collaborations across a wide range of industries—including automotive, finance, sports, beauty, retail, and entertainment—while restructuring its revenue mix toward high-margin channels, a key driver behind the successful return to profitability.

This revenue optimization strategy has generated strong synergy with the company’s up-targeting approach, which expands IP appeal beyond its traditional core audience. At the newly opened flagship store THE TEENIEPING Seongsu, visitors in their 20s accounted for 20.6% of total foot traffic, alongside the existing core demographic of children aged 3–9 and their parents, highlighting early success in demographic expansion.

The Seongsu flagship store is also emerging as a global fandom hub. Analysis of direct overseas orders placed through in-store kiosks revealed a balanced geographic distribution: China (39%), English-speaking markets (31%), and Japan (30%), indicating a diversified global fan base without overreliance on a single region.

Overseas revenue rose 35.3% year-on-year to approximately KRW 35.1 billion, further accelerating IP diversification. Key highlights included the strong performance of Metal Cardbot Season 2 in China in August 2025 and the franchise’s expansion into the Russian market.

A SAMG Entertainment spokesperson stated,
“We have confirmed that flagship IPs such as Catch! Teenieping and Metal Cardbot can perform strongly on global stages beyond Korea. Through our recent partnership with UK-based company 8Lions, we are distributing English-language versions of our IP content primarily via new media platforms, laying the groundwork to build IP awareness ahead of broader expansion into English-speaking markets.”

Looking ahead, 2026 is expected to mark the company’s next phase of growth. New seasons of Catch! Teenieping will air through late May, while Metal Cardbot Season 3 is slated for additional overseas expansion—including China and Russia—following its domestic conclusion. In addition, collaborations with global artist NCT WISH will continue to broaden the fan base across age groups. In the third quarter, SAMG Entertainment plans to release the second theatrical feature of Catch! Teenieping, following the domestic box-office success of “Heartsping: Teenieping of Love”.

CEO Suhoon Kim declared:

“SAMG Entertainment’s mission is paradigm-shifting Korean characters and animation on the world stage. Riding the global K-culture wave, we’ll swiftly demonstrate our potential to fans worldwide.”
