SAMG Entertainment (Suhoon Kim, CEO ) continued its rapid external growth in the third quarter.

On the basis of consolidated financial statements for the third quarter, SAMG Entertainment announced on the 13th that its revenue reached 16.1348 billion won, showing a 50.3% increase compared to the same period last year. The cumulative revenue for the third quarter reached 60.642 billion won, marking a 42.2% growth compared to the same period last year.

Having sustained double-digit external growth in the first and second quarters, SAMG Entertainment continues this trend in the third quarter. The recent three-year compound annual growth rate (CAGR) for SAMG Entertainment’s revenue stands at an impressive 70.6%. This reflects not only a transition from a simple kids’ content company but also an acceleration towards becoming a comprehensive family platform company.

In the third quarter of this year, SAMG Entertainment led external growth in revenue, focusing on its core intellectual property (IP), ‘Catch! Teenieping,’ and new IPs like ‘Metal Cardbot.’ The global fandom for core IPs expanded, resulting in overseas revenue reaching 13.647 billion won cumulatively in the third quarter, surpassing last year’s annual overseas revenue of 10.1 billion won.

The operating loss in the third quarter was 4.235 billion won. SAMG Entertainment explained that factors contributing to the loss included ▲ increased labor cost due to new business initiatives ▲ reflecting sales expenses for improving the toy distribution structure.

SAMG Entertainment expressed confidence in its performance for the peak season of the kids’ content industry in the fourth quarter. The recently launched ‘Dessert Catch! Teenieping’ in September is contributing to this confidence, with its viewership surpassing 20%, achieving the highest ratings in the series’ history and anticipating even greater growth compared to previous seasons.

Particularly noteworthy is SAMG Entertainment’s offline theme space business, a core new initiative set to gain momentum this Christmas season. In December of this year, SAMG Entertainment will open ‘Teenieping World Pangyo,’ a space of about 700 square meters in Pangyo, Gyeonggi Province, marking the full-scale launch of its offline theme space business.

An official from SAMG Entertainment stated, “Despite being the off-season for kids’ content companies, the third quarter continued the rapid revenue growth compared to the same period last year,” adding, “With the full-scale launch of the offline theme space business in the fourth quarter, we anticipate improved profitability as the costs for new initiatives are offset.
