SAMG Entertainment’s (represented by Suhoon Kim, hereinafter referred to as SAMG Entertainment) new content ‘Metal Cardbot’ is rapidly gaining popularity as a hit IP (intellectual property).

SAMG Entertainment announced on the 7th that their 3D animation ‘Metal Cardbot’ achieved the highest viewer rating of 3.03% among 6-year-old boys (Daekyo Kids TV).

‘Metal Cardbot’ is a boy’s action robot series created by SAMG Entertainment after approximately 10 years since ‘Miniforce’. ‘Metal Cardbot’ depicts the exciting adventures of the protagonist, Jun, as he discovers and interacts with the living ‘Metal Cardbots’, who hide their identities on Earth by transforming into vehicles such as police cars and trucks (called Vehicle).

Since its first broadcast on March 29th, Metal Cardbot has been experiencing a increase in viewership ratings and growing as a popular IP. The highest viewer ratings have steadily increased from 1.7% (boys aged 10) to 2.68% (boys aged 10) and 3.03% (boys aged 6).

In the kids’ animation industry, a viewer rating of 1% is considered a benchmark for success. The fact that ‘Metal Cardbot’ has surpassed a highest viewer rating of 3% demonstrates its growth as a popular IP, which holds significant meaning.

‘Metal Cardbot’ toys are also receiving positive reviews. Among the kiddult (kid+adult) community, ‘Metal Cardbot’ is garnering significant attention to the point where it is referred to as the “robot version of Catch! Teenieping.” The unique feature of ‘Metal Cardbot’ toys lies in their incorporation of cards that transform into weapons, stimulating the desire for robot collectibles.

An official from SAMG Entertainment stated, “Metal Cardbot will not only expand its product line with toys but also venture into games and F&B based on cards.” They further mentioned, “Additionally, ‘Metal Cardbot’ aims to enter the Chinese market within this year.”.
