SAMG Entertainment’s Musical “Princess Catch! Teenieping” Announces Seoul and Daegu Encore Performances

SAMG Entertainmenty, a global IP content company led by CEO Kim Su-hoon, will bring its stage musical “Princess Catch! Teenieping” back to Seoul and Daegu as part of its nationwide tour in the second half of 2026.

Since its Seoul premiere in January, the production has toured 21 cities across South Korea, with 188 performances to date. It has also ranked No. 1 in its category on major Korean ticketing platforms. With continued audience demand and requests for additional performances, the production will return to Seoul and Daegu during the fall holiday season.

The second-half tour will begin in Cheonan on Aug. 15–16, followed by Anyang on Aug. 29–30, Changwon on Sept. 5–6 and Chuncheon on Sept. 12–13. The Seoul encore will run from Sept. 24–27 at Ticketlink 1975 Theater, formerly the Children’s Center Cultural Hall. The show will then move to Daegu for performances on Oct. 3–4 at Yeungnam University’s Cheonma Art Center Grand Hall, before concluding the tour in Jeonju on Oct. 10–11.

Based on Season 6 of the animated series Catch! Teenieping, “Princess Catch! Teenieping” brings the characters and story to the stage through a combination of musical theatre, illusion and puppetry.

Illusionist Lee Eun-gyeol serves as the production’s director. Celebrating his 30th anniversary in the industry this year, Lee has built the show around enhanced stage direction, distinctive visual elements and detailed puppetry. The production uses character puppets and carefully choreographed puppeteer performances to bring out the personalities of the Teenieping characters, while creating a show designed to appeal to both children and their parents.

“Following the musical Heartsping: Teenieping of Love, we wanted Princess Catch! Teenieping to become a memorable first musical experience for children, while also giving families a production they could enjoy and talk about together,” Lee said.

Audience responses have highlighted the characters’ lively presence on stage, as well as the interplay of live vocals, choreography and puppetry. Korean media have described the production as a “Korean Disney-style fantasy show” and a “high-end show musical,” noting its appeal as a family-oriented production rather than a show aimed solely at children.

The stage production is also part of SAMG Entertainment’s wider strategy of taking its character IP beyond animation. By adapting the Catch! Teenieping universe for live performance, the company is giving audiences another way to engage with its characters and stories while expanding the franchise into offline entertainment.

The strategy follows the company’s previous expansion of Catch! Teenieping into film and musical theatre. The 2024 animated feature Heartsping: Teenieping of Love was followed by a musical adaptation in 2025, with Princess Catch! Teenieping continuing the franchise’s move into live performance.

“Following the success of Heartsping: Teenieping of Love in 2024, we have continued to give fans new ways to experience the world of Catch! Teenieping through the 2025 musical and the 2026 stage production Princess Catch! Teenieping”, a SAMG Entertainment representative said. “We plan to continue expanding the franchise across different forms of content, giving audiences more opportunities to experience its characters and stories beyond animation.”

SAMG Entertainment is also planning a future stage production based on the world of Teenieping: Legend of the Whale Heartstone, currently in theatres, offering audiences another opportunity to experience the film’s world beyond the screen.
