The total number of public offering shares is 1.75 million. The desired public offering price band is 21,600 won to 26,700 won, and the estimated amount of public offering is 37.8 billion won to 46.7 billion won. SAMG will conduct demand forecasts for two days on November 1st to confirm the final public offering price and proceed with general subscriptions from the 8th to the 9th. It plans to enter the KOSDAQ market at the end of November, and NH Investment & Securities is the lead underwriter. The funds raised through the public offering will be used to strengthen new businesses and expand overseas businesses to target the global digital content market.

Founded in 2000, SAMG is a company with the largest experience in CGI animation production in Korea and the largest in-house IP library. It is one of early co-producer of CGI animated TV series “Miraculous (Ladybug)” which is very popular in Europe and Latin America, and attracted attention in the global market, and based on its technology that has been built for more than 20 years, it has successively made success on its own Intellectual properties (IP hereinafter), such as “Miniforce,” “Catch! Teenieping” series, and “Superdino.” Last year, digital K-pop idol brand ‘Lulupop’ was also introduced, and the content area has been steadily expanding.

SAMG is laying the groundwork for entering the global market by introducing its contents on new media channels. Currently, it operates 42 YouTube channels, including 15 domestic and 27 overseas channels, with a total of more than 39 million subscribers.

SAMG is expanding its business areas using its IP lineup, including toy planning and production, character licensing and commercialization, global distribution business, and theater and OTT distribution, based on years of know-how in the kids content IP business. Starting this year, it is expanding its IP business model by adopting direct business methods in various fields such as the launch of food and beverage (F&B) products using popular IPs such as “Catch! Teenieping”, the launch of kids fashion brand “Emotion Castle Kids”, and the creation of kids theme parks.

Recently, it has acquired ‘Entereal’, a game developer, to strengthen its digital content production capabilities. It is also strengthening its position to leap forward as a “comprehensive kids content platform company” by jointly promoting the kids character IP business with LG U+.

SAMG’s sales in the first half of year 2022 increased 150% year-on-year to 31.9 billion won, close to the total sales of 38.4 billion won last year. In addition, operating profit in the first half of this year is 2 billion won, and profitability is also improving in earnest.

SAMG CEO Suhoon Kim said, “SAMG has already completed market verification of its intellectual property (IP) in the global content market and has a firm global fandom.” Based on its strong IP, it has also internalized its ability to carry out business directly in a wide range of fields, including toys, fashion, education, and theme parks, he said. “With the entry of the KOSDAQ market, we will step up the global content business and leap into ‘Korea’s Disney.”
