Anipen-SAMG-Tictoccroc sign joint contract to develop ‘Meta-verse Kids Class’

SAMG Entertainment (CEO Suhoon Kim, hereinafter SAMG) announced on the 23rd that it has signed a three-way joint contract with Anipen (CEO Jae-woong Jeon) and Tictoccroc (CEO Hee-jung Kim) for the new concept of untact character education platform ‘Meta-verse Kids Class’.

“Meta-verse Kids Class” is an educational video content platform that dramatically improves the learning effectiveness of children aged 4-7 by utilizing the character IP (Intellectual Property) of popular animation. Three companies started their businesses with the goal of completing development of platforms by this year and officially launching them early next year. After its launch, it plans to add a lineup of contents for elementary school students and expand its business areas such as entry of smart TV interactive contents and entry into the Chinese education market.

The new platform will feature teachers who are implemented as characters of popular animation Miniforce based on deep learning and augmented reality (AR) technologies. Through this, the company plans to increase the concentration of children’s learning and provide various educational and entertainment fun elements at the same time.

In order to establish a new Meta-verse education platform, the three companies will take charge of each company’s strengths by dividing the field of business promotion.

SAMG is in charge of overseas businesses by providing character IP for this business. Its IP contents such as SAMG’s “Miniforce” and “CATCH! TEENIEPING” have a huge global fandom with 37 billion views accumulated. Based on strong IP recognition, it is planning to have competitive edge in South Korea’s Edu-Tech market within a short period of time and expand it to global markets.

Anipen is responsible for developing ‘Meta-verse Kids Class’ platform that introduces deep learning based on AR (Augmented Reality) based interactive content production technology. In addition, the company will also work to improve the overall technology quality of the contents by realizing the movement of characters on the screen through its own character broadcasting engine.

Play and learning teacher matching platform Tictoccroc is in charge of planning and developing education curriculum and distributing educational contents. Based on the contents of classes at the Children’s Creative Research Institute affiliated with the company and 200,000 members, the company plans to provide high-quality Edu-Tech services by planning the Meta-verse Kids Class curriculum and managing teachers.

The contract was made as the three companies agreed to solve the problem of the infant education market, which is ‘getting enough attention and concentration from kids’ in the untact education environment, and to preoccupy the global untact Edu-Tech market, which has been growing rapidly since COVID-19. Grand View Research, a global market research firm, predicts that the global Edu-Tech market will be worth $285.2 billion in 2027 from $76.4 billion in 2019.

Jae-woong Jeon, CEO of Anipen, stressed the need for the joint project, saying, “In addition to technology, strong IPs for Alpha generation are essential, and bold and flexible solidarity among companies that fit fast-changing digital transformation is also very important.”

“We will be recognized first in the demanding domestic market by installing delicate education services completed through our know-how and make greater achievements in the global market based on them,” said Hee-jung Kim, CEO of Tictoccroc.

Suhoon Kim, CEO of SAMG, said, “It is an honor to introduce new educational services, that have never existed before, by working together with Anipen, which is Korea’s best XR technology company, and with Tictoccroc, the best infant caring service company” adding, “We will continue to work together to expand the value of contents using strong IP.”
